MixMatch is a game-like matching service that lets users enjoy team sports whenever they want, without the pressure of regular meetups. It makes team sports easier to start on your own and turns a single game into anticipation for the next match and continued participation.

01 / BACKGROUND
“I want to play a game of futsal this weekend,
but where can I join right now?”
Group sports are easier to join when you already have friends or a team. However, users face multiple hurdles—from finding a game and people to play with to checking the team’s atmosphere and skill level before actually joining a match.
02 / RESEARCH
Understanding the User Experience
To understand users’ needs and pain points, we conducted observations, in-depth interviews, and surveys with team sports participants. We grouped the collected data using an affinity diagram, identifying patterns in similar behaviors and opinions. We then refined the data through a coding scheme to analyze recurring problems and needs, leading to three key insights.
